Brooks is dyslexic, so he grew up listening to audiobooks to fuel his joy for books. When writing WWZ, he intended on creating an immersive audiobook that someone like him could enjoy. Well… Maybe a different movie. I enjoyed the Zombie Survival Guide prior to this and loved the book. I liked the back story and lead up to the events… And sadly the movie is not that. The only real thing that they have in common is that they both have zombies in it (and all of the associations that would come with that) If you want just a little more Max Brooks check out his Zombie Survival Guide. It has a few stories that most likely led to him writing world war z.

I made the mistake of traveling to China when I started the book. Didn’t know how Hot Never Underestimate A Woman Who Loves Cats And Was Born In November Christmas Shirts much of a prophecy it was either. They never made a movie based on the book. It would be awesome if they did. This is one of my all-time favorite books and, in my opinion, is one of the most convincing zombie stories of all time. He takes into account small details that I’ve never seen in other stories. He goes all over the world and gives you a global perspective, which is so nice. Two things that stand out so much to me is the comment about the whales that the one character has, and another where they’re walking along the road and they point out that people brought DVDs with them.
