It’s not shoehorning. It’s an existing Good God Knew I Needed A Best Friend So He Gave Me My Grandson Shirt trademark, made by a different developer, with a separate story. It is literally a direct sequel to the first Black Ops game using the same characters. Why wouldn’t they use the Black Ops name? The original zombie’s story had one of the crappiest endings possible and all the BO4 maps sucked. This really has nowhere to go but up. BO4Z had some great, great maps (from my perspective at least, I have been playing all my life and love the complex maps) that were overshadowed by poor mechanical choices. Treyarch is always great at making maps but this game’s success will come down to the mechanics themselves.

IMO, black ops 3 and black ops 1 has the best zombie experiences, would like to see something more in the strain of those two. Been looking to return to zombies Good God Knew I Needed A Best Friend So He Gave Me My Grandson Shirts for a while now, hopefully. They’ve got something great in mind Hopefully they return back to the WaW/BO1 zombies feel. My biggest issue is that they’ve focused too much on the ridiculous story and easter eggs only enjoyed by a small handful of players. Splitscreen zombies with the new iterations just aren’t the same. Treyarch knows exactly how many players do the easter eggs, just like they have analytics on literally every other aspect of the game. You’re just guessing.
